Sports Injuries Long Term Solutions Not Short Term Fixes

There is nothing more frustrating than being injured because of participating in your sport. Often athletes will try resting from their sport for a week or so. Whilst rest may reduce the pain of an acute injury, it will not address the underlying reason why the injury occurred in the first place.

Sometimes self-diagnosis can lead to a frustrating relegation to the sofa that not only makes athletes twitchy, but may also be unnecessary.

I am a Coach in Running Fitness for the Quakers Running Club, physiotherapist for Darlington Gymnastics Club and deliver Pilates for Richmond Triathlon Club, I work with a wide range of athletes.

Commonly sports injuries have an underlying biomechanical issue, muscle imbalance or technique fault. I pride myself in being able to track down and treat the underlying cause of your symptomatic injury ensuring you are back to training and competing as quickly as possible.

I can assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders such as:

  • Spinal and peripheral joint pain

  • Pre and post-operative presentations

  • Pre and post-natal pregnancy related low back/pelvic pain

Whatever your problem, pain or performance issue, I can help and I offer a personal, friendly service which begins with a no-obligation chat.
